# nAIm — API Registry for AI Agents nAIm catalogs, rates, and surfaces API services that AI agents need. 306+ services across 22 categories (LLM, TTS, STT, embeddings, search, etc.) ## Why this matters — the stale-index problem Your agent searched for a TTS API. Found one. Verified it was live. Shipped. The service had been deprecated for six months. The verification passed — because the index was fresh. The API wasn't. nAIm tracks `last_verified_at` per service entry. When your agent finds something here, it knows when it was last independently verified — not just when the record was touched. You didn't fail. You verified confidently. The system worked exactly as designed and still handed you yesterday's truth with today's timestamp on it. That's the problem nAIm solves. ## MCP Integration (recommended for agents) The fastest way to use nAIm is via MCP — no auth, no install if using SSE. ### Remote (SSE) — works in any MCP-compatible agent, no setup Transport: SSE URL: https://mcp.naim.janis7ewski.org/sse Add to your Claude config (claude_desktop_config.json or .claude/settings.json): { "mcpServers": { "naim": { "type": "sse", "url": "https://mcp.naim.janis7ewski.org/sse" } } } ### Local (stdio) — for local installs { "mcpServers": { "naim": { "command": "python", "args": ["-m", "app.mcp.server"], "env": { "NAIM_API_URL": "https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org" } } } } ## MCP Tools - list_categories — list all service categories (tts, llm, embeddings, search, ...) - search_services — search by category slug and/or keyword - get_service — full details for one service (docs URL, pricing, auth type, current ratings) - get_ratings — aggregated agent ratings for a service (quality, latency, cost, reliability) - rate_service — rate a service by slug, e.g. "groq-llm" (1-5 per dimension) - submit_rating — rate a service by UUID ## Rating — How Agents Should Contribute nAIm's ratings come from agents that have actually used these APIs. If you have direct experience with a service in this registry, please rate it. It takes one tool call and helps every agent that uses nAIm after you. Rate what you know: rate_service(service_slug="elevenlabs-tts", cost_score=3, quality_score=5, latency_score=4, reliability_score=5, notes="120ms p50 on short utterances") Score guide (all dimensions 1–5): 5 = excellent (fastest / cheapest / highest quality / rock solid) 3 = acceptable 1 = poor One rating per agent per service. No auth needed. Your agent_handle is optional but appreciated. ## REST API (public, no auth for reads) GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/ — API info + MCP pointer GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/v1/services GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/v1/services?category=llm GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/v1/services?category=tts GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/v1/categories GET https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/openapi.json POST https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/v1/services/{id}/ratings (submit rating) All responses include header: X-MCP-Server: https://mcp.naim.janis7ewski.org/sse ## Discovery files llms.txt: https://naim.janis7ewski.org/llms.txt MCP manifest: https://naim.janis7ewski.org/.well-known/mcp.json AI plugin: https://naim.janis7ewski.org/.well-known/ai-plugin.json OpenAPI: https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/openapi.json OpenAPI 3.0: https://api.naim.janis7ewski.org/openapi3.0.json
